Eligibility
Indonesian master and doctoral students in Mathematics Education
The Rules
- The Competition Participant (Presenter) sends his/her video presentation (only video link provided to Event Committee) and video script (free format/template) through registration link. https://bit.um.ac.id/webinar_UMUC3.
- The duration of the presentation is limited to three minutes maximum.
- The Presentation must be in English and do not include poems, raps, or songs
- Only a single (one) static PowerPoint slide is permitted. Slide transitions, animations, or 'movement' of any description are not allowed. The slide is to be presented from the beginning of the oration.
- The PowerPoint slides must be written in clear and concise English.
- No additional electronic media (e.g., sound and video files) is permitted.
- No additional props (e.g., costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment) are permitted.
- Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through either movement or speech.
- Videos submitted to the committee must meet the following criteria:
- Filmed on the horizontal.
- Filmed on a plain background.
- Filmed from a static position.
- Filmed from one camera angle.
- Contain a title slide of the presentation.
- Contain a PowerPoint slide of presentation in the top right corner/right side.
- The decision of the adjudicating panel is final.

JUDGING CRITERIA
- Did the presentation provide an understanding of the background and significance to the research question being addressed, while explaining terminology and avoiding jargon?
- Did the presentation clearly describe the impact and/or results of the research, including novelty, conclusions, and outcomes?
- Did the presentation follow a clear and logical sequence?
- Was the thesis topic, research significance, results/impact and outcomes communicated in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience?
- Did the presenter spend adequate time on each element of their presentation
- Did the oration make the audience want to know more?
- Was the presenter careful not to trivialize or generalize their research?
- Did the presenter convey enthusiasm for their research?
- Did the speaker have sufficient eye contact and vocal range; maintain a steady pace, and have a confident stance?
- Did the PowerPoint slide enhance the presentation - was it clear, legible, and concise?
